Since a few days I too was thinking about getting an aquarium. Have read some articles for beginner enthusiasts. I want some first hand info.

Can you put any fish in bowl without the oxygen pump, since it wouldn't look good ? If yes, which ones & what all care should be taken ?

Also a few weeks back somewhere I saw a very small turtle along with few fishes in an aquarium. Is rearing turtle legal ? How about keeping 2 turtles in small aquarium ?

Hey Prasham...first and foremost, it's not a very good idea to keep fish in a bowl, as it's like a person staying in a 5 ft. by 5 5 ft room!!
Also ammonia/nitrate builds up too quickly, and results in death of the fish in a matter of days. Only fish you can keep in a bowl (dia atleast 10") is the Siamese Betta Fighter fish. It's a very tough fish, but it has to be kept singularly, as it's very aggressive towards other fishes. And it doesn't require a Pump!!

Thanks for the input. Can I put 2-3 of these together or only 1 ?
