Something came into my mind..
Please suggest...

Shall i skip Pasighat completely...
If i will take a ferry to Silapathar from Dibrugarh and from Silapathar there are direct Sumo/Bus to Along.. will it be a good idea...


second one is... I want to skip Daporijo.. I know from Along one cant reach Ziro in a single day have to halt in Daporijo.If I will come out to Itanagal directly from Along by bus/sumo.. (both runs at night as well ) and next day will visit Ziro... is this a good idea??

Please suggest...

The only 2 places that excited me in that central circuit was Along and Ziro. But be sure to get all your permits in order in advance with the dates and places. You can easily spend 2 days at Ziro. Itanagar is also not a must see.

Also if you need to go through Assam from Along, do you need to go to Itanagar? Yet to look at the map but if N.Lakimpur comes along the way, you can directly head to Ziro.

I have some idea how to skip Pasighat..
I will cross brahmaputra from Dibrugarh to Silapathar and directly from Silapathar i can go to Along..

But i dont want to as i have to meet our BCMTian Gunin there.

It will be interesting how to skip Daporijo...
How to go to Ziro from Along with out touching Daporijo... are you referring to go to Itanagar from Along and from there to Ziro?

Aftre my last trip i never used G-map for NE... almost all wrong...


The better idea will be Along to Itanagar night service... and next day 5 hours to reach ziro.. what saying?

I hate G-map.. see its showing 357 Km in 6 hours

Although the distance looks long here, the roads are so much better at Assam and you will travel faster. I read that Along - Dapo and Dapo - Ziro is a slow, bumpy and long route (time-wise).

I am hanging between Along -Dapo _ ziro (12 hours /2days) and Along - Itanagar- Ziro (17 hiours/ reachable in a single stretch)

Lol yeah, thats right. I committed the cardinal mistake of suggesting a route listed on Google maps for that regions in spite of my experience I should be careful next time specially to a newbie who is not aware of those regions.
