Lol yeah, thats right. I committed the cardinal mistake of suggesting a route listed on Google maps for that regions in spite of my experience I should be careful next time specially to a newbie who is not aware of those regions.

The biggest mistake by G-map whne i was in Tripura NH 44 showed direct road to Aizawl which never exists...

agree, even some gps software from satguide company do tell lots of lies.

some sat nav do not even show my local area, when i asked the company they said it was the latest maps. few times i was going on a road which i new well the software tells me to turn right after 200m and i do not turn right, if done so would ended up 1000ft below, google map also shows wrong location of villages etc around Dimapur area, not checked out rest of the state yet.

Use My Tracks atop and upload them to Google Maps.
Google will do this modification if you put My Tracks kml files in Google maps also.

"My Tracks" is an Android App which tracks your movement and records without any Network.
You have to "ON" GPS and Your KML / XML etc files are ready in your Android Phone.
Just put them in your Google Maps or Google Earth . Google will put it after some investigation.
I have sen thsi when I was ina remote village in Uttrakhand.
My Tracks gave idea to google and it made path with help of that.

Whenever one goes anywhere,
One can do this.
