Hi Abin,
The life period of mine (2014 model Avenger 220 cruise) was 3.5 years. Had to change it in 2017 once. It had run say 28k km then. I am not a long distance rider. Right now its 45k km done and still going good. Been lubricating it every 2k km and changed the smaller spur gear once I guess. I think the chain sprocket issue of Avenger is quite nagging. Barring this, its a nice bike imo.

There is no hard and fast rule for this. It can last from 10k kms to 30k kms. Look at the condition in chain and sprockets. Teeth of sprockets are the indicator for wear. And uneven stiffness of chain.

i was advised to change chain and sprocket at 8k kms. but i learned to adujst the chain myself and haven't changed it till 17 kms as of today. the indication for changing the sprocket is 1) broken teeth 2) worn out teeth 3) chain slipping when accelerating. the indication for changing the chain is when it gets recurrent breakages,stiffness & unnatural sounds when running etc.
