hello, my avy 220 engine area vibrates with the increase in speed..after changing to next gear this decreases but with the increase in rpm this vibration also increases..in 5th gear above 55kmph this vibration is constant, so i feel irritated and dont increase the speed further. This problem occured after first service, the idling rpm increased and engine smoothness decreased after the first service..they added some additive with engine oil during first service.now the service guy saying that he dosnt feel any thing...what could be the problem friends.

i feel it is something related to engine oil only...check the oil level..if it is at correct level..just continue riding for 100 km or so at comfortable speeds..if the problem continues, it might be something else..take it to service centre..where did u service your vehicle?? i guess adyar only..they never listen to us properly..if u r non tamilian, then god only can save us..

I am planning to change dtsi 10000 oil+additive added and put motul30004t 20w50, then ride about 250km then change to motul5100...because i dont want any molecule of that stupid engine oil additive in bike..is my idea is good or bad.

Hi frnds,

What i think is this is because of the Bajaj 20W50 engine oil, It is just the worst engine oil. Just go for Motul or Catrol Active Xtra 20W50. But try avoiding Bajaj or else change the engine oil every 700 to 1000 km.

Thanks

Do the following and your problem will be solved :-
:)
1. Get checked the foundation nut & bolts, they needs to be tighten.

2. Change engine oil, pour any thicker oil.
:p
3. Lubricate the chain with some heavy machinery oil and grease, as it have a 'O' ring chain so wash the chain set with petrol properly before lubrication. the chain should not be too tighten or too loose.

4. If the vibration coming from the timing chain get checked it.

5. Wait for upto 5000 KM.

friends i have changed the dtsi 10k+engine oil additive, it was coloured black.poured motul 3000 15w50. I felt the difference immediately it was smooth..cleaned chain and lubricated with motul chain lube.i rode from kochin to chennai via ooty, as engine heats up it become smooth..but the vibration comes around 60kmph.previously i was using xtra premium, now i m using normal petrol after oil change...should i switch to any other brand.should i retune the engine and clean the carb, any issue with main jet...engine is real smooth up to 55kmph now.

I face similar problem with my avenger 200cc. The problem persists from Day 1 and I though it will be ok after 5000km but it doesn't. Also, the service engineers in Delhi don't even listen to what I say. But the vibration will be felt only after 65-70km speed.

Now, I shifted my bike to Chennai, waiting to take it to the service center. Hope will get some solution.
