The Zig Wheels article sounds like its written by some Pulsar fanboy and guess what, it is! Adil would rate the Pulsar 200NS above a Fireblade in performance if he was paid for it!

Ok talk about what Shamik has just said above:

URL: Engine and Transmission on the New 2012 Bajaj Pulsar Page - 2| Zigwheels.com
If that is not all, the Pulsar 220 in the IDC was rated at about 38kmpl while the new 200 NS is rated at 54kmpl
URL: Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi : Roadtest| Zigwheels.com
Pulsar 220 DTSi returns respectable overall fuel economy of 51kmpl under mixed condition riding.
And I thought IDC is when a vehicle will give the best FE. :D

Would this 200NS or the expected fairing version be the flagship bajaj bike OR will they be launching a 210 or 240 cc version 6-9 months down the line ?

Here's a comparision between KTM vs Bajaj (Source: http://overdrive.in/details/947/Bajaj-Pulsar-200NS---first-impression).
I'd personally choose KTM anyday versus a Pulsar even if that meant paying 30 K extra. For the extra money you are getting a DOHC, FI, Steel trellis frame, more BHP/Torque, better brakes, better suspension, better power to weight ratio. In real world, Duke would fly past pulsar due to it's lightweight and slightly more power. And it's a niche bike... I am certain, within months there would be 100's of red Pulsars but there won't be many KTM's :)

Dont know about others' views but I like the Yellow colour more than the Red one !!!

Would be nice to see both of them on-road and then take a final call...:)

Here is a lap around chakan...
Though it sounds great..struggles to go above 120 on a straight..
YouTube - Pulsar 200NS Lap at Chakan - OVERDRIVE
Funny ....

Amit Chagani of Motoroids claims 137 tucked in on the back straight.

Happened upon and was riding alongside two guys on Pulsar 200NS's for a stretch on the bypass after Wakad yesterday.

For some reason, maybe the small 17 inch wheels shrouded by the large hugger - the bike from behind on the move looks like a normal bike on Bobby wheels. :p

P.S. The rear tyre hugger is supported by a single sided strut support above the swingarm on the right side. Its different to what's in the picture above.
