Being a millennial - Ignis automatic ownership , tinsel blue with white roof .

With both rear windows rolled down and driving at about >60-70 KMPH in straight highways I'm getting Phat-Phat sound as like sound of a punctured rear tyre. Is it design flaw and common to all Ignis or something amiss in mine? Can you please check and confirm me?
Car was inspected at Service center and did a self check. Nothing to complain about. When the windows are rolled up hear nothing. Very weird.
I drive a punto and needless to say that has the no such design issues.
This is common issue created by you only !

Open front window a bit then it gets balanced.

Satinder ji that flapping happens when window is partially open. atleast in my car. when fully open, there is no sound.

Air trapping is main issue.

Even home cieling fan creates such noise (kut-kut / phat-phat) if it is close to ceiling. Just lower it by extending Rod/ Pipe's length,
and it is gone.

You have to find out the reason and remedy is easy then.

Experience Speaks...
You are much experienced now....

Hello fellas ,
It’s been a long time since I have posted on my pocket rocket . Today my ignis crossed 20k km . It’s not munching miles as am solely using my Phoenix ( Honda city Zx cvt 2017) for most of my rides . I feel cvt more comfortable than the Amt for all my long rides . Ignis went for its 20k km service and burned my pocket by 3934₹ which includes all the consumables and labour cost along with GST . Stood with the car throughout the service so i could realise the change In quality of parts . When they removed the rear break drums the inner side looked really rust free and was shining like new . Which when compared to my old celerio Zxi o 2915 model is much better . Even after 2ok km in 14 months of ownership the car stays stable with no rattles nor any other problem . The average shows 17.5 kmpl since I only use it in city limits as for long drives I had shifted to my city Zx cvt . After the service have driven 6-7 km . The service was done at Popular vehicles and services kollam . They too were curtious enough to do the service and delivered my car in 3 hrs of time . Took the car for service at 3pm and delivered it back by 6pm .

What you said is true as per my ownership of other cars especially Maruti alto and Maruti celerio Zxi o . But when compared they had started with niggles and issues after 5k kms on Odo . But ignis AGS ( touch woood ) feels the same as I got in hand in May 29tb 2017 . Even after riding it hard for a year through all worst terrains of Kerala roads . I think the quality of nexa cars are bit top notch compared to counterparts of other Maruti cars .

Hi Nikhil,
Ignis may have better build but not Baleno. Baleno is really a filmsy build.
My friend who bought is regretting for buying Baleno though I said to go with Elite i20.

That’s really true what you have said . Baleno lacks high speed stability even at speeds above 80 the cars feels like flying in the air . Breaking at high speeds causes shuddering of the Tyers and insatability . I feel the safety is less compared to ignis . May be ignis is been sold in most European countries so u has is genes inside .
