I brought her home on 9th March, 2017, and since then I have been constantly fantasizing of a long (literally long) motorcycle trip!

How she stepped into my "not so happening" life is little lengthy to narrate... may I ask for a rain check for the moment? I shall be back in a jiffy with the full fledged tale- How I fell for an Italian beauty after riding a dark Desi mare for quite sometime.

These are few indoor photos from the delivery day (Ignore the riding jacket):

Congrats @Anunoy . Wish u many happy miles.
Do post the details about the jacket and the service intervals and cost of regular service of the bike.
Many are staying away from brand due to high maintenance cost so it would be helpful to many if u keep us all post about the same.

Thanks Gaurav. Yes, I'm finding her extremely lovely  and this feeling seems to be free from the usual claustrophobia of permanence
At the same time I must highlight: she is quite heavy and there'll be ample moments when you feel her bulk.

    Thanks brother!
Oh cycle... I think you're talking of the one I was planning to be living with back in 2012... :-k Even last year I made a second attempt of returning to bicycling by purchasing a beautiful green Volcano ZX DS. But, I failed again, and eventually accepted the truth :-({|=

    Thanks brother!

Although the jacket is branded as Benelli, the original manufacturer is Knox. In Benelli's showroom they sell it for around 7500 INR. It is made up of Polyester 600-D. I found it quite comfortable at present weather conditions and permitted speed limit (running in period). It is supposed to be tolerable even in Indian summer but I can't comment till I experience the same. Best thing is- I managed it COMPLIMENTARY with the machine :supz:

Service interval is 4 months/4000 km. For such a heavy duty (being optimistic) touring machine I found the service interval pretty irrational. The sales executive assured me that DSK-Benelli is reconsidering this issue and in a couple of months they'll come up with a revised service interval. Till then I'm keeping my fingers crossed! The normal service cost estimate I was provided was 5000-6000 INR. I'm yet to go for my first servicing. Things will be clearer after that, I guess.

Nice knox is good maker and use very good quality protectors plus u got it free.
True, the service intervals are very short in Benelli the main reason is DKS wants to make money and thus the owners end up spending close to 20k per year even on Tnt300. Where as companies like triumph is having 15k kms or 1year interval for service. Same goes for harley. @Gaurav Chopra can tell more about the service schedule at Harley.
Wish u many happy miles ones again.
