Best affordable staying at Simhastha Kumbh Mela Ujjain 2016

Hello everyone,

I am thinking of going to Kumbh Mela next month, but we have never been to Ujjain before.
So need help in getting to know about accomodation facilities.
What are the best affordable staying options available at Kumbh?
Are the camps setup at the Mela affordable and good to stay?
Anybody having prior experience please share.

well, if you are not averse to a little travelling, I would suggest you to stay in Indore just about(70 odd kms away from Ujjain). There are all ranges of stay options available and a lot of commuting options as well to Ujjain. If you stay in Indore you can also explore the food joints if you are vegetarian

Yes. I have enquired at couple of hotels near Ujjain but everything is full.
Lets see how it goes.

Indore is too far to go only for accomodation. Our trip will be finished in a day or two. So just looking for accomodation facility for a night.
Actually I've never been to Kumbh Mela ever so really don't know how it works. I've just heard that Tents are setup for accomodation.
So if you can help with important information that would be helpful.
