Day 4 reach leh Mon
Day 5 explore surroundings Tue
Day 6 more exploration Wed
Day 7 Leh - somewhere in between th
Day 8 Manali fr
Day 9 Manali -pb sat

Well most people don’t mark every thing, if I am able to get the GPS before my ladakh trip this year I will try to get all the cities marked properly.

As for day 3, you can easily spend it in Jispa, which should cut down your travel distance on the forth day by roughly 100kms. There are hotels and guest houses in Jispa as well as in Keylong.

As for Sarchu it has luxury as well as economy tents. Beside that you can get tented accommodation (in most cases in the Dhaba tents) at Darcha, Bharatpur (just after Baralacha La) and Pang.

cheers!!
hello freinds,

While visiting Leh (driving my scorpio frm Manali - Pang route) How fisible it is to carry own Tents??? are they easy to install??? any place where I can have them on daily rent basis??? Will it be possible and allowed to install our own tents anywhere i.e. Pongong Tso? Hunder?? Nubra??

Pl guide

thanks

You can put up your tent but that would be highly exhausting at high altitudes. You can find tents on entire root between Manali-Leh. Plus they are for all kinds of budgets from Rs. 30/- to Rs. 1500-200/- for the luxury all inclusive type tents.

So I would suggest don't carry tents. You might save some money by carrying your own tent but it would be quite exhaustive to pitch them at areas like Pang or Tso Moriri or similar.

In LEH, There could be very few places better than Shanti Guest House.

Shanti Guest House
Address: Shanti Guesthouse, Below Shanti Stupa, Yurthang Road, Changspa, Leh, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, 194101.
Owner : Tsering and Dolkar Phunchok
Tel: 01982-253084

It is 300/- per Night and the owners are wonderful people. It is 10 km walk from the town center. It is under the famous Shanti Stupa

Small Poblem: Have to park bike outside. But it is very safe in Leh.

This image is outside shanti guest house. I can give you more info if you need
