Note : In Bhutan its mandatory for pillion rider to wear a helmet ( so make sure you have an helmet for your pillion; anyways that's a safety requirement for long rides)

Mods can you please add this line under the Notes section in first post

You would probably get a better response if you post in the relevant thread - for travel partners.

  5. From the thread i understand that single entry is not easy / possible either. in this regard i drew the attention of immigration dept whether it is possible by mail to them. i have a reply that i can avail a permit at the immigration office. FYI only. do not know how trustworthy can it be??????????????

Any idea about the road condition, after the earthquake? Has it taken it's toll on the Bhutanese roads as well?

I was on the way from PARO to JAIGAON (Return) at the time of 1st earthquake. But did not feel much. At border I head from police and ambulance guys that at the higher altitude some of the roads are blocked due to stone fall, otherwise it is okay. Hope nothing major happened in Bhutan.

Someone reported in a different Forum that issuance of Entry Permit from Bhutan's Kolkata Consulate has been stopped. Can any one in this Forum through some light on this issue, please?
