Got these answers from BCMTians:

1.
Its a good place for a day. Rickshaw charges are 150/- per hr upto 6hrs.
No need to take guide as the rickshaw pullars are too good to spot for you.
Finally check hotels before hand as it’s peak season.
The punt ride...that is really awesome.
On the way back, do visit the Deeg palace.

Haven't been there in a long time.
As mentioned, the cycle rickshaw pullers double up as great guides.
Cycling is a good way to roam the park.
Do make one early morning visit at 6 am or so for the punt ride...that is really awesome.

Best way to explore this park is on bicycle.
Hiring a self driven bicycle is very cheap almost negligible charges for whole day or half day.
Abundant are available there always.
