Budget Mobile Phone / Smart Phone upto or 10,000/- approx

Mobiles around 10,000/- are getting more & more powerful hardware.
Powerful hardware means:
Android with 1GB RAM with Good Chip and good User Interface within budget of 10K.
But Battery needs to be charged if internet is used all day.

Even Nokia Lumia 520 falls in this category because with better UI.
(Even with 512 MB RAM, Windows 8 run like Butter)

What are the options available?

I don't see any Samsung recommendations from you, any reason?

There are many problems with their phones (Samsung).
I & my friend have spent 40K approx on a phone that is S3 & S4.
These are prone to such a fault that I do not want to show it in open forum.
Otherwise a hovoc will be created & many may have their hearts fail.

I think If you are looking for simple phone use and
whatsapp, facebook, some internet surfing only
then go for Nokia Lumia 520.
This is a reliable phone.
Hardware is more reliable and it will cover its cost in long years of service.

Samsung or others are not upto the mark in term of hardware only.
Software is OK.
When You will start to understand Android Software,
it has own charms as a smartphone with lot of liberation.

But Nokia Lumia windows phone is latest product
and it has memory card for expansion with windows 8
and in future, you may not be feel insecure after software changes.

With Android Phones You may face such issues (future insecurity etc) if RAM is less than 1GB.
That's why I am focusing on 1GB RAM mobiles in Android.
Smasung has no phone that has 1GB RAM under Rs.10,000-/- right now.

Full Use Else Lose
With Androids, the biggest problem is of battery consumption. Windows 8 phone's battery last considerably longer.
Also, I agree with one thing mentioned by SatinderJi, that Androids need 1GB of RAM for smooth operation and WP8 can perform nicely with 512MB RAM alone!

I just gifted two budget mobile phones to my wife and my mom.

Wife: Nokia Lumia 520 (White) Rs. 8800 with screen guard and flip cover.
Mom: Nokia Asha 206 (White) Rs 3950 with 8gb memory card.

Both phones are value for money. I really liked lumia 520, its pretty much like my figo..value for money. In a budget of 10k nothing beats lumia 520. I could have bought Samsung SDUOS but I felt that Samsung is good if I have a budget above 15 or 20k.

Since my mom cannot use the modern days touchscreen phones I gifted her Nokia Asha 206, it has got everything in a very small price. I somehow feel Nokia is the company which has phone for everyone from cheap to expensive. :)

Nokia 520 proves to be best buy for most of the persons.
Its camera with low light shots are good enough even without LED Flash (with steady hands).
Simplicity and Low Budget is best reason of better sale worldwide.
SOT ji, Invincible (Amit Bahrdwaj), my few friends have this phone and are satisfied.

1. Nokia lumia 520
2. Samsung galaxy trend
3. Samsung galaxy star pro...
