Budget stay options for my ride in Gujarat!

Hi All,

I would be riding to Gujarat later this year (Hopefully if things fall in place), and hence have chalked down the route map for the ride. Below is the route map.

Vadodara-->Bhavnagar-->Somnath-->Gir National Park-->Junagad-->Dwarka-->Jamnagar-->Morbi-->Bhuj-->Dholavira-->Ahmedabad-->Surat

I would be staying in all the places mentioned above. Hence kindly suggest the following.

1. Budget stay options in all the places (500 - 1000 INR. Only constraint is Room should be clean)
2. Any specific spots that I should not miss.
3. Details about booking Jungle Safari in GIR
4. Is the above route fine or should be skip any place as it may not be worth it?
5. Anything else that should be considered.

1. Budget stay options in all the places (500 - 1000 INR. Only constraint is Room should be clean) This kind of rooms will be available either on the Highway Joints or near Bus Station of the city.
2. Any specific spots that I should not miss. Checkout Nal Sarovar for fine Birds. Go early morning before sunrise.
3. Details about booking Jungle Safari in GIR They have 3 safaris daily, if I remember properly. Go for 1st or 3rd.
4. Is the above route fine or should be skip any place as it may not be worth it? Got to Gir after darshan at Somnath.
5. Anything else that should be considered.

Which place does this Nal Sarovar fall in? I mean Junagad or Dwarka or Bhuj or something else?

How do it book for GIR safari? Online booking? If so, can you provide me the link? Also can you suggest any budget accommodation in GIR?

I opted to halt at Somnath coz I will be riding from Bhavnagar covering Diu. Hence thought it will be late by the time I reach Somnath and dint wanna ride at dark. Kindly suggest.

Nal Sarovar is about 30 kms from Sanand which lies between Ahmedabad & Dasada.

No idea about online safari booking

Do you have idea of any budget hotels in Surat,Gujarat ? My friend is travelling tonight from Poona to Surat by Paulo AC Sleeper bus and the only dropping point mentioned is Fruit market parking in Surat. He is single and looking for decent lodges for stay that would cost 500-1000 INR per 24 hours. He is staying for 2 days in Surat. In which area of Surat would he find budget hotels ? Can you suggest any specific good ones if you are aware of ?? Alternatively we will try checking online hotel booking sites.

I don't have any idea but the best option I believe is to search for hotels in vicinity of Bus Stand.

I will call my friends in Surat and ask for the same. If I get any thing worth mentioning I'll soon update it here.
