Hello BcmTouring as some of you know that I have booked a Royal Enfield bike few days back and Today I am here share my experience of Delivery process of Bike review of Royal Enfield Showroom FALCON Royal Enfield, Yamunanagar and my 1st ride experience.

Before starting further I want to say Thanks to @sanchit350, @IJS, @adsatinder ji who always answer my queries and share their experience. At a time when I was in doubt about capabilities of Bajaj Avenger @sanchit350, @IJS clear all of my myths. But somehow things turn around and I purchased BULLET 500.

But why this new Thread: From past 6 months I was doing lot of google and try to gather lot of information about BULLET 500 but I found that we have lot of threads VLOGS for Classic series but very few for BULLET 500. So, my blog will help all people who are planning to buy Royal Enfield BULLET 500.

Delivery Experience (Showroom Feedback): One word 'Pathetic'. Most of the BcmTouring members (especially @IJS and @sanchit350) told me same thing but on 3rd Feb 2017 I experience the same. Most of the BcmTouring WhatsApp group members know this very well. Without taking so much time let me share my experience.

28-Jan-2017: I was at showroom to enquire about Delivery date and Payment process. Falcon Royal Enfield Yamunanagar front desk executive told me that Bike will be available on 02-Feb-2017 and I can take delivery on that date. But when I asked about the payment by Credit card or Debit card (I was open for both.) They
answered me very well that 1.25% per transaction they will charge for Credit card and 0.75% they will charge for Debit card. I said How u can charge this?? I have message from RE Care that there will 0% charge on Card swipe at any Royal Enfield Dealership (Will share screenshot with you guys so that if anyone planning
have this proof.) They simply replied "Royal Enfield rollback scheme.". I know sales guy was lying. I told him to show Email or message from Royal Enfield. For this he have no answer but he have alternative to transfer money in Dealership account. I have no other choice so I agreed. He told me to pay a day before Delivery date (01-02-2017). I told him not to do any Teflon coating. He gave me exact amount of bike including Insurance 5790 INR and Temporary Number 250 INR. I told him that I will do PDi by myself.

01-Feb-2017:
I did IMPS of 500INR @11:00 AM to test that money in right account. As I was in NOIDA so I called sales person to confirm my transaction. After almost 3 calls and many WhatsApp he confirmed me transaction @4:00 PM in the evening. I did IMPS of whole amount including Insurance and Temporary Number amount (which you later come to know I did a big mistake) @4:00 PM and asked him to confirm right. He takes overnight to confirm my Transactions. He confirmed my Transaction on 02-Feb-2017 @05:30 PM.

02-Feb-2017: Due to some unavoidable circumstances I have to postponed delivery for 03-Feb-2017.

03-Feb-2017 (Delivery day): I scheduled timings for Delivery @11:00 AM. I was in showroom @11:15 AM. To my surprise bike was ready and on backside of showroom. I have a Pdi list share by one of my friend but I was not sure that it was an updated one. So, I asked to the Delivery person to provide me updated Pdi checklist. I am carrying but I am not sure that it was updated one. He simply replied "PDi is only done by Dealer. There is nothing to do with PDi for a customer." I replied him drain the Engine oil (2.75 ltr) which is as per PDi that I have is a rule. He said that this is not a rule. I told him to show PDi list that he have to me.
After a lot of arguments I move to Sales manager, I simply shown my PDi list to him and ask him to show updated Pdi list. He was so rude that he scolded over me "How you got this??? This is for Dealer only."
"Royal Enfield k sabse ghatiya agency ka sabse ghatiya Sales manager." I told him are you a sales manager?? You have any experience of selling any Motorbike. Even you buy a 100CC they will provide you a PDi. I am just asking for a Pdi list. He told me to show what is PDi??

"Ohh GOD!!! I know how I control myself."

I showed him 1 point is in my PDi is Drain all the Engine OIL and fill fresh 2.75 ltr Engine OIL. 2nd Point was Fill 6 Ltr Petrol.
I asked him how much Petrol you will provide me in my Bike. He replied 4 Ltr. I told him in my PDi its 6 Ltr. I need 6 Ltr or provide your PDi list. He argument with me and making a fun "Ye bas 6 Litre Petrol k liye PDi kar rhe the." After his comments I have heat argument with him With in few seconds he is outside
from the showroom. I don't know where he was.
After purchasing a bike 1.80 Lacs (On Road) I am hearing such kind of words. Now I have two options either to take money back or take Delivery as it is. After that another Sales person takes the charge and I told him do PDi yourself I need keys in 5 mins. I will take care of my Bike myself. Within few mins I did formalities of Insurance and Temporary number and in between time I seen that two guys come to Showroom on BULLET MARSH GREY and give me keys and a Petrol Pump bill of 6 Litres. They wanted to show they refuelled it upto 6 Litres. I have not accept the bill and told they I don't need your sympathy and drain all Petrol I will fill on my own.

Picture abhi bhi baki hai:
Executive who is doing insurance was very polite and well behaved. After doing Insurance he shown me insurance and I found that Premium was 5290 INR but on I was told that premium is 5729 INR. I have written proof of this. I asked other sales manager that I have paid 500 INR extra. He was so clever that he told me that he did Teflon coating on my Bike and price of Teflon coating is 300-400 INR. But on 28-Jan-2017 I clearly told same sales person don't do Teflon coating on my bike. So now my Total loss stands for:

2.75 ltr Engine OIL: 1100 INR
Extra Payment : 500 INR (After looking dirt on my bike I am sure they did nothing)

When I sit on bike I found that minor scratch on Petrol lid this is done by two guys who took my bike for refuelling. I am pretty much sure even they don't know how to open Petrol lid. I reported the same to Sales person but he simply I don't have any other in stock. I told him to exchange it with anyother Bullet 500
or Classic 350. After saying OK he is intentionally busy with other customers.

So now my Total loss stands for:
2.75 ltr Engine OIL: 1100 INR
Extra Payment : 500 INR (After looking dirt on my bike I am sure they did nothing)
Scratch on Fuel Tank lid

Within few mins I was on bike and executive comes out to give me Bike manual and as usual asking for a Tip. But I surprised that treating me in this way they still have Courage to ask for TIP. But I give them heavy Tip so that they realise their mistake.

First Ride Experience: After riding The BEAST Oh Boy!!!! This is my taste. I am in love. I can feel the Torque, power and within few seconds I was at 60KM/H. I don't know what is happening. I was feeling like surroundings are stationary and only I am riding. If I have not looked into speedometer I was thinking that
I am about 35-40 KM/H. I have never feel such thing in my life. This is something that make this bike special. I was planning to make tankful but when I looked into mirrors I found that mirrors are not adjusted. What the hell Dealer did in Pdi. Also to apply brakes I need to stand on brake and make brake light glow
I need to press the rear brake hardly. I was back in showroom with in 5 KM of journey. I told them all the things. But they fixed only 1 mirror adjustment which are still of no use. I was exhausted and head back to home. In evening I was again on Bike for a city round and to my surprise when I was taking U Turn I almost lost my control. Reason: PDi done by foolish person at Dealership. When I was taking U Turn bike accelerate automatically. Problem is with accelerator wire is too tight or short length.

Abhi kuch or Twist baaki hai kahaani me:
I headed to Petrol pump for refuelling. I asked them for a full tank. And to my surprise Petrol pump filled 12.28 Ltr fuel. Again cheated by Falcon Royal Enfield. What Sales manager told me and shown me slip that

Total Petrol filled by them is 6 Litres. And BULLET 500 Tank is 13.5 Litres
13.5 Litres - 6 Litres = 7.5 Litres
I got bike with meter reading of 13 KM and while refuelling my ODO Meter was 37.4 KM. So I was expecting it will take 8.5 Litres to make my tank full. But to my surprise it takes 12.28 Litres. (I will share pic with you guys.)

Now at night I was looking at User Manual which they provide me when I was exiting from Dealership. To my surprise I found PDi checklist and Motorcycle Installation confirmation by Customer Form 22. Ohhh God!!!!! Yhi wo PDi list thi jo me us bevkoof Sales manages se maang rha tha. So now I have updated PDi list.
As usual 1st checkpoint was in updated PDi list is to Drain all the Engine OIL and fill fresh 2.75 ltr Engine OIL.
2nd Point was Fill 2.5 Ltr Petrol. (Royal Enfield now providing less fuel.)

So till now I was filling I am arrogant and I was over reacting but this proves me I am wrong. Sales manages is saying that they provides 4 Litre Petrol in Royal enfield bike. How they can provide me 4 Litre User manual says to provide 2.5 Ltr. And to show good gesture they filled my bike with 6 Litre Petrol but during refuelling I come to know they actually refuelled somewhere around 2.5 Ltr.

Now I can say Falcon Royal Enfield is 420 as well.

04-Feb-2017: I head back to showroom to resolve my Braking and Accelerator problem. My case handover to some senior mechanic. And what a reply I got Accelerator wali problem normal hai. Ye to aati hai mostly bikes me. Mere paas bahut si bikes service k liye hain aap 01:00 bje aaye ho shaam ko 05:00 bje bike le jana.
This time I lost my temperament. What king of Pdi you did. I just inside the sales room and asked them to repair it within few mins. They provide me some junior mechanic have experience of 1 years and resolve my Accelerator problem by setting the wire. Actually it was stretched wire is passing below Fuel tank so while
taking U turn wire stretched so accelerate twist. He resolve my brake problem as well. I have shown User Manual and Petrol slip which I refuelled to sales manager and he have no reaction. And to my surprise when I was heading back to my home bike skids while braking I guess that might be due to low Air pressure.
I checked it to Cycle wala and to my surprise he told me that in front tire Air was 10 psi and in rear it as 20 psi only. This is the culprit that I was skid.

In future whenever I plan for Royal Enfield I will buy it from any best Dealer from India. No problem if he is far away from my hometown.

Talked lot about Delivery Experience. Now its turns for Pros and Cons of Bike.

Pros:
1. Bike justifies its Torque.
2. In any Gear (applies to 4th or 5th as well) you just twist throttle and with in few seconds you fellow riders behind away.
3. You never get bored and just sit relax.
4. Bike is butter smooth.
5. Powerful Headlight. No need of auxiliary light. I can bet its better than Dominar LED light panel. You can see corners of road. And in Full beam it can even beat car headlight. No need to worry about night driving.
6. Simple and classic console.
7. Low on maintenance. A lot of After market solution.
8. Carburettor version is far better than Fuel Injection. Mechanical parts are always better than Electronics parts. Even repair cost is low.
9. Wide Rear tyre.
10. Braking is good if you use both brakes together.

Cons:
1. Vibration in handle bar when you start bike and your hands are not on Handle bar. (But I have no problem from such thing.)
2. Vibration below speed of 40KM/H. But when you above 40 KM/H you will feel no vibration at all. I can bear vibration as I have ride scooters for many years. Vibration is problem for those who is upgrading from Honda or Hero Engines.
3. Side Mirror are of NO Use at all. Just it adds styling to bike.

At last why I don't go For Dominar????
BULLET is BULLET.
After riding this I am happy with my decision. I love simplicity and low maintenance of Bike. I don't want racing bike, I don't need EFI and I don't need liquid cooling engine. I am rider who cruise in between 60-80 KM/H. Sometime I ride in Triple digits. Dominar is good bike but have a lot of electrical stuff and my previous experience with Pulsars family is not so good.

I will attach updated PDi checklist so that if any person in future going to purchase RE he will not face problem like I faced.

Bike is on Temporary so it is in my Hometown I will bring in Delhi once all RTO formalities are done.

Note: I have purchased budget Riding gears and Saddle will updadte thread later.

Congratulations for the new bike! I enjoyed the write-up and the photos. I've booked a Bullet 500 as well. Should be getting it in a few days. The PDI checklist will prove to be useful - thank you for that.

Unfortunately, I've had similar experiences with dealers of other companies as well. The lack of basic courtesy these guys have towards customers is appalling. :-x

Finally Lodge a Complaint to Royal Enfield about my Bullet Delivery Experience. And to my surprise RE act very actively. Within few hours I got a call from Falcon RE Sales manager regarding my issue. I request him to transfer my call Owner. With in half an hour I got a call back owner Mr. Harshdeep Bhatti.
First knowledgeable person at FALCON RE. He is also an Touring enthusiast. He is in between his tour and gave his time to resolve my issue. I have given each and every detail to him. Now at least I can breathe comfortably. Because most of us face issues at Dealership but that are not in knowledge of Owner. Now its his term to improve the quality of people at Dealership. :)

I got a call from the dealer today. The bike has reached them. Will be doing the PDI and initial payments tomorrow. Will take delivery and make final payments on Sunday.

Can't wait to get my hands on it.\\:D/

@Aasheesh_Joshi Brother do the PDi carefully. Sometime in excitement we ignore lot of things. A little thing you should have to do before leaving Dealership.

1. Check all Indicators and lights.
2. Tyre Air Pressure.
3. Just start the bike and turn handle left and right just to check everything is fine.

Most important upload pics of your Beast. :)
I will post more pics and observation next weekend.
