this what i was trying to re-iterate to all the guys out there but I guess with the plot in himuda , other avenues do open up for them to buy land as they will be officially HP residents than and free to own land anywhere in HP ...

good to see some information flowing here. I also have done some more research on this, but I am no more discussing this topic in open forums as people get sentimental about Influx and all that. And I think it differently.

Being said that, keep info flowing, I might share info again, once I reach to a more advanced stage

Gud news ...for all who were waiting for Himuda demand.
Himuda is back with demand and this time last date is 30/04/2011.

I have found out that even if you own a HIMUDA plot you will NOT be given a domicile of Himachal.



Edit : Offcourse you can follow illegal means / arm twist to get anything done in India which includes building your own bungalow in Kaza :shock:

It is legal to buy land in Himachal if you are a non-Himachali.

You will only get flats or HIMUDA plots. You will never get a domicile of Himachal.

You cannot buy agricultural land in Himachal.


If you are a Himachali, then even you may be prohibited to buy land in tribal areas like Spiti/Kinnaur and certain border areas.

Just read this thread. Thanks for posting the update. Anyone from this forum applying for the survey? Looks like genuine way of first assessing demand and then finding how much land is needed.
