Cream chicken

Another quickie one.:)

Ingredients

1. 4 drumsticks of chicken, chicken tangdi as i call.
2. 1 cup fresh Cream (Amul Tetra pack available in the market)
3. Crushed Pudina powder(take some mint leaves, allow it to dry for few days, then crush it into fine powder).
4. 2 tsp lime/lemon juice..nimbu ka ras as i call.
5. Salt to taste.

Method

a. Take water in a pot and Boil the chicken tangdi slightly, (half cook as I say).
b. now in a wok, put cream and heat it for 1 min.
c. Now add par-boiled tangdi's and on slow heat, let it cook till tender.
d. When done, take those out, Sprinkle salt, pudina powder, nimbu ka ras and serve HOT.

Hehe, Rajat, cream and malai are quite different in characteristics!
Cream is easily available everywhere in 200 ml tetra packs or 1 ltr for that matter.
If you heat cream or malai over 100°C it will start to disintegrate! I'm not sure I understand this recipe!
Will wait for Gulloo sir's comments!

Sunil sir, replace chicken with Paneer cubes..try it and give us the feedback.
PS: not need to boil the paneer, just put in cream directly.

Lol

but yes, what I used to do with my Paneer preps, that I heat the water and take it out of flame just before boiling. Then add 1 tsf salt to it and soak the paneer cubes in it.

May I do the same with it.....

Cream is an emulsion. yes it tends to disintegrate when heated, more so on high heat, and this is precisely how the desi ghee is made from cream. But we do use cream in no. of preparations and do it gently.

I don't know how rajat exactly went about it, or would love to see his final pic of the chicken, but the theme is very doable. He can use Bechemal Sauce aka White Sauce and add lots of cream to it and finally drop in the almost done drum sticks and he can use milk instead of water to cook the drumsticks.

You know every one has his own way and variations galore.

Hope Rajat does not take any offense.
