dear tutai again a fantastic TL. i have some doubts - will i get permits if the vehicle is registered in my fathers name & he is not in the vehicle ? what sort of weather can one expect in september - october ? will there be snow ?

Hi smoothwanderer,
I guess there might be some issue in permit if the vehicle is not in your name. But an official authorization letter may solve the issue, I will suggest you to check with officers over phone before planing.

In general you will not get any snow from June to Nov. However, it is very unpredictable, this year (2017) there was a snow storm in may which was really unexpected for all tourist. Sept-Oct you will get colorful surrounding and clear sky.

Till now i do not understand what is this ILP and why we indian also need this. Is not it making us alien for the people who staying their. They are Indians , we are indians, but still india govt made this ILP. For foreigner, if any restriction imposed, that i can understand, but for indians , why these things???

ILP is required for all Army Control Area. Even for the people who stay there need permission to enter or exit from army control area.
