Before i start I would love to write few lines...

I would rather be a sparrow than a snail.
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would.
I'd rather be a forest than a street.
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would...

This time less narrated story, So let the pictures do the talking..
Started from Delhi at 7:30 pm. It was raining and dead hours cause us to encountered heavy traffic movement in Delhi itself. It took us 2 hours to reach last Indian oil fuel station at Delhi border. We always top up our fuel tank from there, bought few snacks, coffee, water bottles and we were already carrying paneer tikka:tonqe: so there was no requirement of any halt. From there I took up driving charge to give some pleasure to my senses. Since I m deeply in love with driving on Delhi-Chandigarh highway that too late night, so that was my moment .... Music( my favorite traveling songs ) , smooth n empty roads (less traffic), moving towards Himachal.
    What else I want....????Nothing..:supz:
The plan was to do over night drive till Sundernagar, where we suppose to had a tiny road side sleeping session in our car. So we parked our car n took a nap (30 to 45 min) at 3:00 am near Sundernagar than continued till Bhuntar where we rented a room at 7:00 am. After taking sleeping n breakfast break for 4 hours,we proceed with our journey till Kasol our next halt.

We had our lunch at Evergreen cafe, entertained few lazy minutes and left for Kheerganga.

we reached Nagthan hydroelectric power plant by 3:00 pm. parked our car n set off our trekking at 3:25 pm.:supz:

The trek was divided into two terrains one was village area another was forest..I did Triund last month but this was longer n wilder than that. The Best part of this track was the gushing river that we crossed the mighty kheerganga ( I usually scared :eek:of crossing such bridges with heavy water flow underneath but the beauty of this river make me forget all my fears.

Gushing river, beautiful yet lill scary :p. After crossing this bridge the forest track started so did my scary wild imaginations:sad:. Due to the rain, trek was bit slushy n slippery.

We stayed at kheerganga top for a night n had words with d restaurant in charge who told us few stories, one was about the 2 lost guys who were rumored to be attacked by black bear:shock:.
Woke up early morning took bath in hot spring.
    B612_20160716_075756.jpg
Had our breakfast n set forth our march back in the next day morning..
    B612_20160716_102130.jpg B612_20160716_125145.jpg
It took us 5 hours (with 3 halts) to reach at the top and this time we took 4 hours (1 halt due to the heavy rain) so it was quite an experience =D>.
We reached the parking area, picked our car and move ahead towards our next planned destination, 'Naggar Castle' our all time favorite breakfast point.:tonqe:
    IMG_20160716_152548.jpg IMG_20160716_173637.jpg IMG_20160716_173752.jpg B612_20160716_175132.jpg
From there our next destination was old Manali, Where we planned to stay for the next two days.:finga:Drifters inn in old Manali serves good food, great ambiance, clean n cozy rooms. It was a nice experience to stay there last year so we agreed to stay there once again.
    IMG_20160718_074408.jpg
Once we reached there rest of the day spent in roaming here n there listening live music by Papaya Tigers musical group.
Next day plan was to go to Rohtang La..Last year we did it on bike but as it was raining already n we were not in mood to get soaked so we preferred to go by car. This time we took online permit printout for rohtang, which was less time taking than earlier procedure.
o and i got the responsibility to drive till Rohtang :eek::shock:.
This was the first time, I was driving at high altitude roads. It was thrilling experience indeed. While driving I was dreaming to drive till Leh :yawinkle: i really wish, some day, I will for sure.

Found a traffic jam few km before Marhi but we enjoyed it too:grin:

    B612_20160717_164009.jpg
Jam got released after an hour or so.
    IMG_20160717_163331.jpg
Finally we reached Marhi, An army troupe passing by was the main attraction at Marhi. We had our super Delicious lunch:tonqe: in a dhaba ( had super yumm daal tadka after long time). Due to the bad weather n lack of time, We agreed to move back from Marhi itself..:(
    IMG_20160717_172845.jpg IMG_20160717_174308.jpg IMG_20160717_182417.jpg IMG_20160717_182457.jpg IMG_20160717_182932.jpg
Clouds on the road compelled me to pull the breaks time and again to capture the amazing view..:prayer::lol: IMG_20160717_185617.jpg IMG_20160717_185622.jpg
We reached back to our hotel with the plan to leave early morning to Delhi.
After having our road side breakfast, Bread omelet along with a glass of milk at mall road,We left Manali at 8:30 with the promise to visit there again, to find some beautiful place to get lost [-o<.
Every time i visit there, It makes me fall in love deeply with its beauty all over again..
Its always heartbreaking for me to leave Himachal
The only thing that cud have console me was driving, so i did the same. Drove all the way from Pandoh dam to Delhi without any halt.We reached Delhi at 8:00 pm. That was my longest drive so far. This trip really boost up my driving skills on hills:goodman: .

No sir its an old track by Simon & Garfunkel. I often listen while driving. Featured in movie 'Wild' based on true hiking story of an American lady.
