Are these routes motorable. found them from google maps.

Keylong, Sir Bhum Chun, Dutung, narbu Sumdo, Chumar, Ukdungle, Nerbole, Hanle and to Leh via nyoma.

Keylong, Darcha, Sir Bhum chun, Taka, Tichip, Yaytha, Char, Dorzong, Padum and then to Kargil via Rangdum.

also beyond hundar can we ride upto Chalunka and Turtok. (upto where are tourists allowed)

And can we ride along the Pangong to reach Chusul.
I read somewhere that there are 2 routes via tangtse and 1 along pangong.

As per my knowledge, no! It might be a trekking route though.

This one doesn't exists either, though there is a road being built from Darcha to Padum, but it will take some time to finish.

Yes, I did it in 2007. Here is that section of my travelogue, http://www.bcmtouring.com/forum/travelogues-north-india-f61/bcmtouring-group-ride-ladakh-t13089-11/#post106347

Yes you can, though the route is tough due to sandy trails.

There is a lake after that and I think beyond that, there are villages. But you will need special permission for it, which I guess is only issued by Army and MHA.

What if I get a permit for Marmisk La, reach the top of the pass and ride/drive on to see the lake and villages ? Are there any checkposts after Marmisk La, how will someone find out that I went ahead without taking permission ?

Yogesh Thanks for the details.

1. keylong to Padum. Ok Just saw it in Google maps as a car route.
2. keylong to Hanle. Google maps shows this as NH1D upto Chumar. So i thought it might be there.(can it be confirmed from some locals)
3. After Hundar. Thanks will definitely try doing this.
4. Pangong to Chusul. In your destination post you have mentioned that tourists are allowed only upto spangmik.
5. Marsmik la. will go upto the lake. Also i think it should be possible to do this and ride upto Chusul in a day.

Forget about Google Maps, unless you want to take your car on trekking routes!

NH-1D ends at Leh

4. Pangong to Chusul. In your destination post you have mentioned that tourists are allowed only upto spangmik.
This is what is written in the travel guide, "From here you can carry on, on the road that turns in to sand and rock filled dirt track. The small settlement visible from here is the village of Spangmik, the last village up to which you are allowed to go on normal inner line permits."

Permit for the same will be issued by DC office, you need to mention all the major towns en route (which are along border and not included in normal permits).
