Hi, since LDI variant comes without a central AC, can you comment on the front AC performance? Is it adequate? Thanks

Yes it works well and it keeps everyone cool during Delhi summer also. I usually travel with 5 people on board maximum number of time and no one has raised any cooling issue. But if your usage is travelling with 7 people on board all time then don't go for LDI variant choose upper model.

Yesterday while coming back from office I noticed that temp needle is hovering near H within 30min drive. Stopped my Luv roadside and first thing I checked coolant box. It was empty :-o:-o on some inspection found that coolant leaking from a pipe which is attach with engine.

Called my mechanic and he told me not to panic just add water in coolant box and do not put cap on it.

Today took it to my trusted workshop and culprit was a coolant tow pipe. It took good 3-4 hrs to fix the issue because they have to remove lot of small parts first to replace it. Total dent in pocket 4000rs

Some shots of repair

Lucky Vijay.
Did you add Normal Water or Distill Water?
What was the idea on not putting the cap; is to reduce the pressure in the internal system and to reduce the leak?

I always add Distill water with coolant.
Main reason asper my service adivsor to Not puting the cap is to reduce the pressure. He said whenever anyone face coolant leakage issue just use water wothout cap to drive to nearest workshop, it will not create any issue

An incident happened with a friend last year after he got his car in summer.
He had a minor front collision with another car.
Radiator got leaked.
It was evening and due to darkness, he was not able to check how much green fluid was leaked.
He came to me and
I with a friend also were not able to find any problem as it was not day time.
Fluid level was showing ok in the container.
We had no water or got any idea to put water in the container to check if radiator is leaked or not.
Since the vehicle was new we only consulted the workshop manager of company's service center to avoid any warranty problems.
Workshop manager suggested to drive slowly and reach next morning at workshop !
But the Car (Xcent) covered 20km to his home without any problem.
Next day car was taken to the workshop for 20km again.
He drove the car at 10-20kmph only after the incident.
Radiator was leaked fully.
Radiator and some plastic parts were changed only for 6-7K.

Mine issue related with coolant leaking from pipe which is attached with engine but yes driving with a coolant or radiator leak is a dangerous operation, as it will very likely cause your engine to overheat. Do not drive far in this situation as it can cause further damage to engine, which can mean a more extensive repair. Anyways It's always good to get this kind of prblem get checked with authroised wrokshop only.
