I want to do an international holiday trip with my family and kids. I need help of you guys as have few basic doubts.
1. Which is the best country which I can go with family under Rs.50,000 pp.
2. Is Thailand advisable with kids.
3. Should I make my own itinerary or should I buy tour package of MMT. Which is more economical and convenient for first timers.
4. Any other advice
Thanks.

Check with SOTC, Cox and Kings for the packages within your budget. Within your budget of 50K per person a lot of options are doable-

Indonesia/Bali
Malaysia/Kuala Lumpur
Sri Lanka/Colombo
Thailand/Bangkok
Uzbekistan/Tashkent

Try checking with different service providers and seek discounts on their given prices. It is very normal to ask for a discount and get it. Once you start dealing with these service provider, you will know a lot of things. Anything else, feel free to contact.

I think Thailand will suit me more. Now where to go in Thailand, Bangkok & Pattaya or Bangkok & Phuket. I'm traveling with two kids.

I have traveled to Thai quite a few times with family and without too. Since you are going with family here's what I suggest:
1. Fly Directly to Phuket, take rest on the day of arrival. Go out for a walk in the evening and book island hopping tour from outside (usually the hotels charge higher fares). You can opt for scuba diving along with Island hopping. This package is typically around 1200Bahts per head all inclusive.
2. Visit Fanatasea , kids will like it.
3. Fly to Bangkok and stay at a hotel away from Sukhumvit. At Bangkok you can visit the Buddhist temples (Wat Arun, etc), one of the nights you can opt for river cruise. Nice experience.
4. Fly back home.

Should you need more and specific info, feel free.

Cheers,
Rajesh

If you are going to Phuket, then you may skip Pattaya (unless you want to :yawinkle: ).

Best time is October, rains would have reduced, heat and humidity will be less and pleasant throughout. From Nov to Mar it is peak season and hotels will be bit expensive.

Thankyou once again, how's the climate in April, can we go in April? We will leave pattaya this time. Can you suggest any hotel in Phuket and Bangkok? Any suggestions and inputs on booking city sight seeing tours and island tours ?
How many local currency we should take with us, considering the fact that I will be traveling with wife and two kids.
Thanks

You can choose Thailand and Malaysia. Both are good for Indians for first international trip. I had a trip with family. Our trip was 10 days in both countries.
Pattaya and Bangkok in Thailand.
In Pattaya visit Art in paradise, koh larn Island, Pattaya Beach, underwater world, Great Buddha. You can book taxi in advance, Rs. 500/hour. Koh larn Beach and island by government ferry which is cheap, about Rs. 60/head.
In Bangkok avoid costly places like Grand Buddha and palace, just try mount Buddha (I think), go a river cruise in cha Phra river, Rama 8 Bridge and park, some palaces nearby, wat Arun (Budda temple). Just search in Google maps. Safari world is also famous. Just like zoo, but dolphin show is there.
Penang, Malacca and Kuala lampur in Malaysia.
We can make the trip with Rs. 50000 per head.
Book budget hotels in advance and pay. Book flights in advance, within Malaysia we can use train travel.
Line application is good for taxi booking.
Klook is good for site seeing bookings. Only some selected places we need to go for site seeing.
Local food is cheap and preferred.
Best of luck
