Gesmo Restaurant Fort Road, Leh

Is there Pizza Hut in Leh, last time i went in July 2007 and couldn't find one.

I visited Gesmo Restaurant thrice during my 4days stay at Leh. Their food is good and prices are reasonable. Service though is very late. Ambience could have been better too.

Well fast service is not in the minds when in laid back places like Leh. Sometime I have asked the waiter to bring food while I enjoyed my book and the coffee

Even we tried the food at this restraunt. It was the same day we reached Leh and reached there around 10. We had to wait for someone to take our order for about 30 minutes, during that time, we even took short naps. However, the food was good.

Well, it definitely is. Nobody expects an express service (hallmarked by Mcdonalds or Dominos) at normal restaurants be it in Leh or in Delhi or anywhere in the world for that matter but waiting for 15-20 mins before somebody comes to take your order and 30-45 mins for food after that is really a long time, especially when you are darn hungry.

When very hungry it is best to go to a fast food place or a small eatery where you can tell someone you are very hungry and confirm whether the food will take time to be served.

I did the same after my experience at Gesmo and went there the next day when I was'nt in hurry. And the experience was much better actually.

I too had a chance to have breakfast once at Gesmo and ending up ordering Aalo paratha with Curd. It was good but took a bit more time than expected. It a place once should not to if in hurry. Over all i liked the ambiance and the quality of food

^^ You can actually enjoy a donut or two while food is being prepared if very hungry

Been there a few times.The "chotu" who "didnt look like he went to school" was actually putting on a fake firangi accent while taking order
