GMVN (Dhanaulti Heights) In Dhanaulti

GMVN Hotel in Dhanaulti:

Location - best in town. Right opposite to eco huts and next to Eco park. Many hotels and small restaurants next to it.
Rooms: There is a new section being built which will be ready in 6-7 months time.
Eco room has no fan, but are on ground floor. Otherwise rooms are comfortable. Some harmless insects though.
Dlx/S.Dlx are good, on 1st floor.
Restaurant - had flies and was unkempt. prefer to eat out in the open and enjoy the weather as well.
Food was really good, though service is slow.
Staff is courteous overall

I was there here for a short time in December 2012.
Just had lunch and wandered around the guesthouse for a while.

My observations to add to the initial post, from my limited hours spent there :
1. Location - best and just next to Ecopark. But its also bang on main road, so lot of noise and traffic, if you sit outside for lunch.
2. Food - very tasty and inexpensive.
3. Restaurant service - Slow but ok.
4. New annex section is completed. Is expected to be opened by Jan 2013, as per hotel staff who served lunch.
5. Toilets - not so clean.

We stayed there last summer and were totally unimpressed.
Road side, noisy location. Mediocre staff.
Overpriced rooms.
And their restaurant was awful.

Dhanaulti itself is over rated.
