I think Tilak can update on this or may be Sachin Gupta. They were together with Sajish.

If Dilliwala of Indiamike is saying it is partially operational, he is authority on UK of India to be relied upon.

Plus We already have seen conflicting pictures of place and building after tragedy.

Sajish, has posted link of his blog on other forum, I was able to open that blog with bit difficulty and there is only one Picture after and one of before tragedy.

Myself was not able to make much out of two and am taking it with some pinch of salt.

Has anybody tried those landline numbers now recently.
Hi all, this is my first post on this forum. My name is Sajish, and yes, I was in Kedar recently and wrote the blog post that is referred to here.
Hi Citymonk, I could be wrong, but I do not see any possibility of a stay in Syalsaur. There are only a couple of crumbled cottages left. Destroyed would be an understatement.
And the one at Chandrapuri does not exist at all is what I think. I kept looking for it on both the onward and return journeys...but that's how it ended....just kept looking and found nothing. :(
Thanks,
Sajish

Welcome to BCMT Sajish.

You have compiled a wonderful Blog of Kedarnath visit, with very authentic first hand information.

Yes your first two pictures (before and after) of Saylasur has created some confusions, but that only proves how popular it has become instantly. You can add some details there.

Why don't you post some details of your Pilgrimage (if it can be called so) to Kedar with pictures here at BCMT.

You have initiated a great effort in that journey, hats off to you.

Thanks Saurabh, for the warm welcome to the forum. It's a wonderful community we have here.
And Thanks Citymonk, for the comments. Hope to write up on this here in the next few days. Here's a closer shot of Syalsaur to give everyone a better picture. All that remains is a few destroyed cottages/structures. This place simply had no chance to survive.

And here's the picture from my blog on Kedarnath that Amit has shared already.

Beyond Rudraprayag. On the way to Guptkashi. A building that's lost it's bottom.

A river crossing - saw two of these. Spoke to Martina (an instructor at Jumping Heights adventure camp in Rishikesh) later during the trip. Their team had help set up some of these emergency crossings. She rued that these have become local tourist spots of sorts. I hope there are short-term plans to build bridges.

Another site of destruction.

I don't see how the economy of the region is going to sustain itself, unless the administration gets its act together.

Sajish, welcome to BCMT.
You are well known here already.
I am depressed whenever I see these pics of UK. :(

Syalsaur GMVN is now completely destroyed and no chance of finding accommodation there.. 80% of it is completely washed away and remaining 20% is a bombed structure.. as Sajish said above, Chandrapuri GMVN is completely non existing now.. we have lost two of the most beautifully located accommodations in garhwal.. it hurts to see the current conditions of the places where we stayed :(

It's painful to see above pics, I wish government do something to restore normalcy in this region. May god give strength to people who lost everything in this wort tragedy of UK.
