Kinnaur- Spiti( HP) June : It was another break to spiti and it was a really long trip from kinnaur side. On our last day of the trip , when we were started from Losar to chandratal , unfortunately there was a land slide at kunzum and we had to return to narkanda from losar . It really spoiled the joy of travelling and we were badly fatigued on that trip.

Short trip to Corbett :
Inbetween I managed to squeeze a corbett trip , since I lived so close to the park . It was last minute , and I tried for the FRH inside in Dhikala or Bhijrani , no chance . There was so much talk to shutting down the FRH's in core zones but luckily they are still working.
i Spoke to a few guys but couldn't manage Dhikala but got 1 night stay in Jhirna.
I drove to Ramnagar, where i was greeted by the gypsey owner.
Meanwhile, while i was crossing the Tanda forest towards Haldwani , I saw a traffic jam , while approaching , I found a wild tusker by the road side . I took it as a good omen.

The moment we entered the park , we were struck by the beauty of the range . The FRH must be one of the best , since we had to cross Dhela range, we were already in the tiger territory before we could reach the FRH.
We dumped our bags in FRH and wernt for the afternoon safari, as soon as we entered the zone, 2 Great Hornbill flew past us, I was so awestruck ,forgot to even point my camera.. the safari ended on a good note with sighting of a mating tiger pair , pied hornbills, Elephant -tusker . So we saw three major attractions- Great Hornbills , tigers and elephant in one safari.

We spent the night in the FRH, woke up late in the night thinking of a dog bark , suddenly realized I am asleep deep inside the jungle , it was a sambar call. Growling of Male tigers continued till dawn. In the morning safari again we were lucky to have sighted the same mating pair of tigers, another lone tigress, elephant with cub, Griffon vultures ..overall a great trip to remember.
Hope I had another day at least, it was so amazing trip.
