Government plans for building Roads in Ladakh

This might interest many of us who love Ladakh and wildlife.

I know it is a tough choice between maintaining the eco system and the pristine nature on the one hand and addressing security concerns in the area given the build up on the Tibet side. Ladakh may never be the same again!

Only hurdle between India and our enemy is natural hurdles like mountains,river,high mountain passes.
Which acts like obstruction for enemy forces in case they intrude in our territory and thus slow the speed of enemy's troops and vehicles.
Building smooth roads also means providing them a speedy passage to penetrate deeper into our country once they defeat our first line of defense at border,which they will surely do.

Absolutely not sir!!
Roads and other facilities must be there for the people.They have every right to enjoy what we city dwellers are enjoying.Connecting remote villages of Ladakh and its people by all weather roads will help us integrating with rest of India.
I am not averse to the idea of good roads till border but Military might also ought to be strengthen which are currently not at par with our enemy.
Till we maintain equilibrium in Military prowess with our neighbor,roads till border should be avoided.
