Green button under username (user reputation)

Hi,
What is that green button appearing below name (handler) with every post which says "....... on a distinguished road"?

Something new?

Yes, we have just enabled user reputation feature. Wherein if you find a post useful, you can give reputation/like to the user by clicking the star button under the post:

Our existing like system works alongside it, so if you like a post, user would be given reputation points as well. All members start with 10 points, and each like is equal to 1 reputation point.

Because you aren't supposed to give reputation to yourself, that is cheating!

So that you do not start improving your own repute by self voting.

Yogesh, How does it work? I mean does it show some Like/repute count? Or any range of likes ?

Amit the last 5 reputation comments (if any) are displayed in usercp, below the subscribed thread. However that only happens when someone has given reputation directly, instead of hitting the like button.

As far as point system is concerned, I haven’t yet set it up properly, however these are the levels.

Isn't reputation an enhanced system of like ? If yes should we use both ?

Will one have some benefits of gathering reputation points ?

Thanks for clarifying.
Would be better, if it is clubbed with "Like".
Else, mostly the users will hit like button & the OP would remain on the "distinguished road"
