I think Wangshuk's Ladakhi Kitchen next to Supermart II is a great place to hang out with good food, if one is so inclined towards the particular cuisine. It's BYOB too.

I need one suggestion, my father wants to eat tandoori roti and chane ki daal ( or any other simple vegetable dish). But the problem is following:

1. the dhaba/restaurant should be pure veg
2. strictly no ahata type
3. they should serve the roti straight from the tandoor
4. actually the tandoor should be visible to us
5. preferably in gurgaon

Thanks

Try the one just next to petrol pump in sector 31, this is on the expressway, u need to take sector 31 exit ( the one after signature tower) and continue on slip road, after u cross the red light keep going straight, there is a petrol pump approx 500 mtrs or lil more from red light. Just next to the petrol pump is the dhaba which serves delicious veg food that is light on pocket too...enjoy !!

When I visited a supplier few years back and was offered lunch, I opted for a Dhabba Tandoori rotis and Simple Dal. I was told all Highway dhabba have been shut down by government and I would have to choose from upscale Restaurants only. On my refusal and After much delibrations they asked their driver to bring food from Dhabba from where some times food is ordered, near the petrol pump.

And he brought Tandoori rotis and Yellow Channa Dal (instead of usual Kali Dal.)
Taste was too good and satisfying. Later down the year, I tried to locate the Dhabba near petrol pump but never made it.

Hope it is same place you are talking about and they do not prepare Kali dal as a rule.

It is still there, but dhabas orientation with respect to petrol pump makes it difficult to find. For ease of location there is a puncture shop adjacent to the air top up station and from ther u can easily see the dhaba.

And its still in business

And yeah if u order dal fry, it will be channa dal mix

Any suggestions for good budget joints/dhabas in Gurgaon which serve awesome Fish Tikkas & other non-veg items? Dont want to go to fancy & upscale outlets/restaurants.
Singh Chicken Corner : Address: Sector 14, Near Payal Cinema, Gurgaon

Try some of the outlets in Old Gurgaon, Sector 23 Market. To name a few:
1st Preference - Khayali Pulao, this is a nice neat place just at the entrance of sector 23 market, adjacent to the liquor shop. The owner is a super fan of Great Sachin Tendulkar and you'll find Sachin's photographs all over the ground floor. Good delicious veg and non veg food at reasonable prices.
2nd Preference - Chicken Factory, this place is located towards the mother dairy outlet in sec 23 market. You'll find good non veg food out here at reasonable prices.

And if you are fond of biryanis, you must try Biryani Paradise in sec 23 market. Try their Andhra Special Chicken Biryani...
