Guwahati to Tawang ( 21st October to 28th October 2017 )

HI all

I am reaching Guwahati Airport on 21st October evening.I am coming to Northeast for the first time. Earlier I was planning to cover mainly Tawang and some part of Meghalaya. As I read about Meghalaya and Tawang, I don't think so If I can cover both. And there is Tawang Festival also so I am more interested in Visiting Tawang. I am traveling solo. I want your help in following issues :

1. Public Transport to Tawang: Any bus service, if yes then is it available in the night also? Please provide an itinerary in case I use public transport.

2. I am carrying tent also, please let me know where I can pitch my tent while traveling to Tawang ( I know this option is only available if I book travel by my own vehicle, but maybe I get some share cab )

3. Please tell me about Tawang Festival.

4. Can I cover any places nearby Tawang in 7 days?

5. Please do let me know if anyone traveling to Tawang in last week of October, wants someone to share a cab then I can become a co-traveler. I have five men tent with me.

From guwahati there are few options to reach Tawang..
there is a Govt bus which starts early morning from ISBT till bomdila. and from Bomdila you have to board a shared sumo till tawang next day..
Alternative option is Go to Tezpur from Guwahati there are direct sumos to Tawang .. also if you want to break journey you can go to Bimdila or Dirang.. and next day you can move to tawang

Check with locals before pitching tent..

Yes Tawang can be covered in 7 days..

From Tezpur to Tawang it should be 8K one way...
From Guwahati i will find the rate for you

I am talking about Public Transport from Guwahati to Tawang. Like shared taxi or bus.

There is nothing directly from guwahati to Tawang...
You have to reach Tezpur or Bomdila first..

guwahati to Tezpur should be below 200 in good buses... and Tezpur to Tawang is 750 in shared sumo.. it might have increased by now...

guwahati to bomdila should be 250 in Govt bus.. and Bomdila to Tawng must be 450-500 in shared sumo
