Frequent travellers on NH-22 might be well versed with this Dhaba,Run by an ould couple it offers Delicious food, both Veg and Non-veg and service is quite fast too, inspite of it being surrounded by several dhabas and CCD and HM's even but still this the place where u will find people pouring in nice numbers
and all other surrounding places are Virtually empty:D

So if u want fill ur tummy as soon as u ride up on NH-22 this is the place

ultra and complete bakwas.

me and chanderjeet had a horrendous time there last may end.

first no one served us, then didnt bother to get us cold drinks, and finally no one wsa there to take money. we threw it on the ground floor counter and walked off.

-10/10

and nothing special in the food, unless you're a hosteller (we had mostly veg, so not sure if entire non veg spectrum is any better).

Addendum: Its horribly chaotic on sunday lunch time due to akshay's reasons above. except for the fact that its got more cute chicks per square meter than most other dhabas, this is not worth the headache.

yeah during peak seasons rush is a chore

but i ate at this place 3-4 times last month a service was quick and food was good both veg and non veg may be due to the rush the quality of food and service drops

at this point of time we were served food in 8-9 mins only
and yes chicks per square meter is anytime good:D

Hi Guys

Ya.., i`ve been to Giani Dhaba many a times (most of the times with Sunny and Sonics itself) and i agree the food isnt that great.., not is the service 'extraordinaire'.

But speaking on the whole., its nice to be there., with decent food.., good ambience ( P.S- not during the chaotic Holiday season)...,
and ofcourse the 'Babes per square-meter' factor:)

And well.., that takes the cake..., literally :D

Keep Riding Dudes.

I quite agree that the standard of food has really dropped over the years.
The mutton curry, aloo-gobi and daal we had for lunch, on 14 July 2008, were sub-standard!

Better bet might be the Terrace Dhaba across the road!

True,shaan-e-himachal food is better than Gyani dhaba(though I have been there once only) but lack of space is an issue

I was there a couple of weekends ago. Bad service. Unplatable tea/eats. We walked out to land next door at Cafe Coffee Day. Better the devil you know. Plus, they have a nice view of the valley.

Did I mention the cuteness factor (pretty young things) was missing too?

This one is off the list for future visits.

I agree, service level has dropped drastically and its not crowded as it used to be,and yeah PYT have also stopped thronging the dhaba.
