Hari Bhari subziyon ki tahiri

Hari Bhari subziyon KI Tahiri ..Rice cooked with Vegetables..Veg Pulao

1 cup rice
1 carrots
2 Onions
5 beans
fresh peas
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp garlic paste
1 tablespoon kasoori methi (MDH or some other brand)
1/2 cup yoghurt
turmeric powder
5 sliced green chillies (for mildness, reduce the number)
3 tsp sliced ginger
1 tsp green cardamom powder
1 tsb Garam Masala
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder(for mildness, reduce the quantity)
Desi Ghee
Potatoes (if u wish)

1.Soak the rice in double the amount of water for twenty minutes.

2.Peel and cut carrots, beans and onions into pieces.

3.Boil water in a pan, add salt, blanch carrots,peas and beans for two to three minutes. Once they are boiled, rinse them in cold water.

4.Put desi ghee in a vessel, add cumin seeds, garlic paste, kasoori methi and Onions and saute.

5.Add water and cook for a minute. Add the vegetables and salt. Cook for sometime.

6.Now dissolve red chilli powder, turmeric powder in yogurt,put the mixture in the cooking vegetables and cook for five to ten minutes.

7.Add water and boil it for sometime.

8.Add green chillies, ginger, green cardamom powder, garam masala and rice. Cover and cook for sometime.

9.Ta - Da ..delish Dish is READY, serve Hot with Raita or top up with Desi Ghee. :)

But shouldn't it be Tahiri rather than Tehri?
Also called vegetable pulao.
