From Batch 1 I loved the pic Lemon in Water. But a complete glass and bit more space on top could have made the image much better.

And from the last set, Take the Building image, now look at the top. Between your image frame and the building's top edge, gap is not equal. Also top left I can find a wire which is damaging the look on my eyes. A bit post process make the image more interesting

Hi, indeed a nice start.
See the flower the best focused part is edges of petals.It would be best at middle.
Try to see where camera is focusing when you half press the shutter. The dots in viewfinder flash red tells where camera is focusing.
You can define which dot should be used to focus. Read the manual.

Also the lens you are using is not meant for macro shots hence you are cropping the pics which in turn loss of quality.
Same way you land scape pics are good.

Yeah the kit lens is definitely not a macro lens but then its got a pretty small focusing distance when say compared to 55-250.... this zoom lens certainly aint for macro's i realized that :)

Yeah i have read the manual on selecting the individual AF points, lets see how the next set of flowers come out.

Hirak, start saving for a macro lens if you like shooting flowers.

For individual AF points,its available on the 1000D ( use zoom/ + button), results are much better than what AF does. Buts still it won't come close to macro.

And the hut snap, did you crop it on the right hand side? That gives and incomplete image.
