Hirak, start saving for a macro lens if you like shooting flowers.

For individual AF points, its available on the 1000D ( use zoom/ + button), results are much better than what AF does. Buts still it won't come close to macro.

And the hut snap, did you crop it on the right hand side? That gives and incomplete image.
No i did not crop the picture, actually there was a lamp post on the left side which was a eye sore and to avoid that i had to cut from the right side.

Here is one more for your comments

i wish that u had crop the image...the right side part, the darkness and stairs feels lill annoying to me.

focussing the initial 3-4 stairs and make window somehow blurred can create a dramatic effect. try once with all possible manner...after all its DSLR:)

Will I be able to make the window go blur as I was at the full telephoto end of the 55-250 and at that point max aperture is 5.6, will that be enough?

try capturing shot in aperture mode and keep it small..though at higher end it will be difficult to get proper blur but you can move towards the subject and reduces the distance:)

good composition.. might be some different angle would have worked wonders.. just thinking ! this is a good shot though !

Very nice capture...could you please do 2 things for me:)

1. Use selective coloring and make colors only in leaf.
2. Try to desaturate the background so that foreground (i.e. leaf) becomes more alive.

Hi hirak,
First, let me say that you are bold to post your pictures for critics and asking for brickbats.
Honestly, making an constructive criticism is a work of art and need some effort to analyse the picture and then write. For this you have to post one picture at a time and wait for few days to people to comment because as i said it is quite an effort. Otherwise you will only receive superfluous comments like 'beautiful, superb, love it' and so on. That will not help you in photography at all.
Also remember, this is not a photography forum, so may find very few constructive critics.
