Hotels in Kerela - Review needed

I would be going to Thekkady from Munnar...route I am not aware off

If you would be taking a cab - Do this route : Munnar - Kallarkutty - Idukki - Kulamavu - Vagamon - Thekkady

There are some issues at the Kerala-TN border due to the Mullaperiyar Dam issue but as of now Thekkady is quite peaceful. Thekkady - Munnar is just 100 odd kms and will be a 2.5-3hr drive the max.

In fact due to the Mullaperiyar issue lot of Hotel & Resort bookings are getting canceled in Thekkady so if you wanna go you can get a good bargain there

It is safe in Kerala and currently the issue is only if you wanna cross over to TN from there which is not possible due to a road blockade.

Thanks for the confirmation lloyd. Actually I am taking a package tour and this time, I will be more interested in the experience than the bargain (which i normally do)

Been to poovar and the floating cottages is an experience in itself. it will be a good one to try. i guess the resort has a private beach too. do let me know the price they quote. I'll check with couple of guys and see if i can pull in a favour

I had confirmed them earlier..sorry for the confusion..But I have booked them now...
Perhaps now, I will be looking at any personal experiences of people who have stayed in the aforementioned hotels

In Munnar, i would suggest B six holiday resort. Its wonderful resort with breathtaking view.
