How to download Youtube "Private Videos"?

Hi,

I recently got my kids enrolled in a new school. They are teaching via private youtube videos due to corona lockdown. Since I got admission just a few days back, I am unable to watch previous videos. Since many days have passed since beginning of new year, they have denied to send old videos in authorised form.

So I got other old student to forward their youtube emails to me but I can't play them. I copied their url and tried to download it via 3rd party website/app but its giving invalid url error.

Is there another way to download old videos?

Not possible unless they make it public first, you need to ask the channel owner to give you access/invite to it by making it public.

May be possible if you know how to record a running stream video.
Play Video and record the video with stream recording software that you are watching.
Try this option also.
You need to record both Audio and Video.


VLC may also have this option.
Watch Youtube videos

Problem is that I can't run these videos, otherwise screen recording is easy job.

The owner of the video should first add your mail id und r share privately tab using YouTube studio then you can access it by logging to YouTube using that mail ID.

yeah, you can't use the videos you screen recorded for commercial purposes, but if you want to show it to someone offline, there is no problem. I did that many times to bring some videos to class and show the videos on the lesson to colleges. Here is the list of the programs you can use to record the screen https://www.movavi.com/screen-recorder-mac/. I personally use obs

The easiest way - to contact youtube tv. The customer service is very friendly and always offer some solutions. Anyone who is interested can read more about it and the ways how to contact them.
