How to recover deleted pictures from SD card ?

I deleted some of my best pictures from my sd card by mistake. Is there any free software to retrieve data / pics from sd card ? Please help.

There are various recovery software which will allow you to do that. In case your SD card is a mid to high end one from SanDisk or Sony, it will have a free download of such a recovery software. The main thing to ensure is, you do not take any more photographs on the same card or else the data can get overwritten.
