How to Watermark/Copyright Photographs

Click on the horizontal type tool
On the photo, click on the area where you want the copyright text to appear. Once you have typed the message, you can change the placement by first selecting move tool and then dragging and dropping the text where you want.
In case you want to make the copyright transparent, you would need to change its opacity in layer pallet (viewable on the bottom left hand in the screen shot below).
Let me know if you need help or any more info.
Yes, but having a watermark on it makes it easy for you to pursue copyright infringement claims, especially initially.I may be wrong, but from what I recall, photographs taken by you are copyrighted automatically, notice or no notice. I guess the notice just serves as proof. Kinda clueless on that.

You are right Rahul, however writing in the middle takes away the essence of the photo and is something I personally like to avoid unless I know the photo I am posting is bound to be used by other people on their blogs/sites.
Here is a tutorial for ps2, I am sure it is similar in ps3 as well.

@anumpM: my bad cud'nt figure it out.. i did get the copyright sign right and cudnt emboss it transparent and got lost..may be a tutorial or something wud be gr8. if u know any site that has easy tutorial or something wud do i guess. thanx

It is done by keeping ALTkey pressed and typing in 0169.
Only one more step is required after this: apply an effect to your text; this TEXT effect is called Clear Emboss - Outer Bevel.
You can then resize and position your watermark wherever you like!
If this doesn't work, I'll post a VIDEO-tutorial next!
