I wish to visit Kolkata

Dear friends.

I have planned road trip to bhubaneshwar and site seeing around by keeping base at Bhubaneshwar.

After that I wish to visit Kolkata but afraid of traffic and chaos.

What I want is stay in less crowded place and take Kolkata Darshan bus or local transport to visit historic places in Kolkata.

So kindly suggest best way to to reach Kolkata from Bhubaneswar and suggest place in Kolkata to stay keeping above requirement in mind.

New town / Salt lake / any hotel near to airport should be less crowded.....Apart from this , everywhere you go, you will find traffic.
