ID Cards in India - Aadhar Card / Pan Card / Voter Card etc

ID is now needed for travelling in many areas and every now and then you have to show it to any Govt Personnel. To get Permits in Ladakh, North East and Border Areas it is must.
To get room in Hotel also needs to show an ID.

It is a big task in India to make ID cards in India.
Some are made by Central Govt or via Central agency and some are made by State Govt.
Aadhaar Card is centrally made by UIDAI.
Pan Card is made by NSDL.
Voter Card is made by Election Commission in there local centres.
Driving Licence is made by State Govt only. Some states clearly write that these DL can't be used for any ID verification purpose.
Delhi DL has clearly written this at back. Mobile Companies can't issue sim on DL due to this in Delhi.

First to make it initially is a big task. Then corrections are almost impossible tasks.
The way they do it shows they are superior than who are in lines to get the job done peacefully.
Why they can't do it in easy way ?

True correction in Adhaar is a task, there is so much rush there that it is easy to get a shock after looking at the rush.
But the good thing is now few banks can also get it done Many branches of Axie bank does it. And almost all post office do this .
I went to gpo delhi for it and it was about lunch time and the uncle ji was in good mood so he did mine without any que or waiting and i gave him some amount as token for his help(rishwat)
One agent also told me there that next time let us know we will fix it for you without any wait and the Adhaar guy would take 100 only.
Voter card is different story never face that hassle till now.
But yes all these should be hassle free , less time consuming and easily accessible as per our time convince.

UIDAI - It's now easy online process, except you want to update your attached mobile number. All other details can be easily updated online and via CSC. For updating mobile number, you need to physically visit the CSC or snail mail to UIDAI. Also, UIDAI also has stalls during IITF (every year) in Pragati Maidan. Make sure to carry your original UIDAI and a xerox copy of it.

PAN Card - It's completely online now.

Driving License - It's online but has certain complications.

Delhi DL has clearly written this at back

Is it true for old issued DL's also.
