ILP for Foreigners for visiting Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what's the ILP status for foreigners planning to visit Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti?

If an earlier instance is to go by then foreigners need an ILP issued from Peo/Kalpa.

1. Can someone confirm this for me?
2. Is there a way that I can procure these beforehand - thereby avoiding travel to Kalpa/Peo?
3. What all documents would be required?

please treat this on priority and share any info that you have.

Thanks

ILP is issued at Shimla and Reckong Peo, if traveling from Shimla side and at Kaza if they are traveling from Manali side. Process is the same as in case of Ladakh, they just need to provide copy of their passport. Contact hotels or travel agents at either of these places and see if they can arrange it for you for a fee.

Thanks Yogesh for a prompt reply. I will try and contact a Hotel out there.

Also, I read on this page that foreigners are not allowed to stay overnight between Jangi and Kaza - does that mean foreigners can't stay overnight at Nako?

Would you have any info on this?
