Dear Raman
Please do not worry about my expectations. I strongly believe that forest to me is not all about tiger sightings and safaris. It is much more beyond those and I enjoy the sounds, the smell, the silence and whatever may come to your mind , every bit of it.Would request you to have a look at this too. So as long as its from a forest and has lots of photos and good narration .....anything is welcome. By the way the kids are adorable!!
Regards
Shantanu
Thanks Dada

Sariska is a beautiful forest, frankly I find it more varied in terms of both flaura and fauna than Ranthambhore. I am also eagerly waiting for this log so please continue. BTW, there are 13 Tigers in Sariska!!
Thanks @DKay for correcting me

All those 13 were on holiday during his visit !
LOL !
Bhaji, it seems so....But people before us had seen a couple...:)
Raman dada, great start. Keep pouring.
Thanks Dada. I will try to complete the log soon..

It seems, we were in love with Alwar..It was our second trip to Alwar in short time span....Our initial plan is for Sariska Tiger Reserve only but when we spoke to our guide (from previous trip), he said the some portion of Bala Quila had also opened for public again and one can have lovely views of Alwar city and nice landscape from that part of Bala Quila.... Hence we added Bala Quila in our itinerary for this trip....So our new plan for this trip was:

Day 1
  • Start early from Delhi/Gurgaon on Saturday
  • Visit Tijara Jain Temple, have breakfast there
  • Visit Alwar, check in at hotel Aashiyana (again same from previous trip)
  • Visit Bala Quila
  • Rest for the day
Day 2
  • Start early from Alwar for Sariska
  • Sariska Safari
  • Back to Home

Some Photos en-route and Tijara...

I was in Pushkar yesterday and wanted to take the opportunity to go to sariska. Unfortunately could not. Now i can!!
As rightly said, it is not (only) about tigers. The forest itself is an experience.

After spending food time in fields and buying some 40kg onions, we started our journey towards Alwar, which is still 1 hour journey from the place....Clear instructions were passed from Sandeep that next stop must be Alwar Hotel Ashiyana..not before that and being a nice soldier, we said YIE YIE Sir..:p

Checked in hotel, took rest for a while and had lunch....than we started for Bala Quilla and Bala Quilla did not embarrassed us and presented us with some nice views of valley, Alwar city etc..Lets have a look at some pics..

P.S. : I am not going in much detail due to two reason...(1) I am already running late with my log to show Sariska from my Camera (2) I have already covered the same stretch in my initial TLOG..
