Thanks KT for the pics of Scorpio on Army Test.

But this is looking no different from a regular Scorpio VLX 4wd.
And that Micro Hybrid technology in Scorpios is known and available to everybody!

I had the same words for the test driver (he was brother of the M&M Dealer in leh)...He apprised me that the 4x4 engine is completely new (specially built for Army) and hence the testing in cold conditions...

Don't go by the stickering at the posterior...what matters is what's under the hood and they wouldn't be writing "On Test" had it been a normally available Scorpio.

Well, this could be the XUV engine which Mahindra has been planning to plonk on the revamped 2014 Scorpio.

Mahindra Scorpio: Revamped to Take on New Challenges ? Gaadi.com Reports

^To quote....'Research says that the major alteration will be seen in upgraded Scorpio is reduction in its weight by 260 kilogram with the integration of fibre parts by a special project called T026, which will ultimately increase the efficiency level of the car. Mahindra is also eyeing to increase the wheelbase along with the addition of 2.2 L engine from Cheetah XUV 500 which will give 140bhp @ 330Nm of torque.'
