Bir Billing Paragliding
Hi there,
This thread is going to be my first thread in this form. And this thread is all about Adventure and Paragliding.
I belong to Bir Billing. May be some of you know this place and many do not.. Well, this Bir Billing is a valley located under the foothills of Dhauladhar ranges, in Distt Kangra of Himachal Pradesh. This place is quite famous world wide for Paragliding. Last year The Paragliding World Cup was held in India for the very first time and Bir Billing was the sport site chosen for it. Earlier it was famous for Hang-gliding but now it is known for Paraglding.
Apart from Paragliding, various other adventure activities are also held here, such as: Camping, Trekking, Fisihing, Mountain Cycling, River Crossing, Rock Climbing, etc...
The Bir Billing is also known for its cultural heritage. Many Tibetan refugees are living here and they have their homes, temples and monasteries built in their architecture. Many foreign tourists are attracted to this heritage and they come here for meditation and spiritual learning. This place is now becoming a famous tourist hub in Himachal just like Shimla and Manali.

This place is nearly 60 KM away from Bir Billing by road. One of the best place for trekking and camping and angling tours. Trout breeding center is also there.
