What else could have been done on this dangerous road strech? This Youtuber is also asking that only.
Why cannot this bus could have continued straight to some safe halting place and conductor should have joined the bus by taking lift. This lift system and lunch or dinner delivery system from far off Dhaaba for stranded buses is very common on these streches.
Way verbal messeges are communicated between stranded vehicles and help center without mobile network too is very common thing here.

I think life of so many passengers should not have been put in harm by these Careless sarkari Driver and Conductor both.

While H.P. drivers are notorious for their driving, this one does not look so risky.
This is a reasonably wide spot and there is a white cement block on the side to prevent any mishap.
Probably this is the widest spot he could have found in the stretch.

Ofcourse, leaving the conductor behind is one heck of carelessness.

Yes and there was no one to ask the passengers to get down before driver starts his maneuvers to turn the bus.

:):)
Other way round inspite of having white cement stopper protection, driver is taking too long to turn.

Given the deadly roads of Himachal, the safety record of HRTC drivers is not that bad. There is a HRTC bus on Chamba to Killar route and people who have traveled on this road can imagine the skills required to take a 10m long bus here.
In regard to this video, the U turn place look very safe and driver also managed the U turn without taking any risk.

By and large, The most notorious drivers are of Haryana Roadways but their safety record is among the best in State transports across India.

What about Conductors of these buses. Nawab Saab did not bothered to board the bus inspite it must not be a congested bus depot. These Conductors must be commanding leverage over drivers as bus was taken back to get him back.
Driver never thought that Conductor can join the bus at next safe stop by taking lift in another bus or vehicle.

I do not think this was risky at all. The back wheel is what really matters in terms of risk and not the back side. The back wheels were never in a risk zone.

Even then he took to much of time as he was keeping very safe distance. Driver was intelligent, although he did not instructed passengers to get down in hurry of going back to conductor but he must have seen some bollywood films where all passengers move to back side of bus or double decker to swing it like seesaw. All passengers rushing to back door could have been risk and most passengers did alighted at nick of movement.

This is nothing in front of this :
Now after seeing this, You will never sit in bus in hills !

This was somewhere around 12 kms from Udaipur ( Himachal Pradesh) towards Killar on Keylong - Killar road. The road was washed away and we were stranded at this point as there was no way to go to other part of the road. Since there was no signs of road getting started this bus driver on other side of the road took this dangerous reverse turn and returned towards Killar.
