Hello to all BCMTians,

I am planning a 10 days tour to cover Spiti starting from Delhi (4 pax). Below is the itinerary on which I would need the experts advise in order to fine tune or amend. And also if the experts in the house can recommend stay options at these places (budget/home stays)

Day 0 (27/08) - Overnight train to Chandigarh
Day 1 (28/08) - Chandigarh to Narkanda (overnight stay)
Day 2 (29/08) - Narkanda to Chitkul (overnight stay at Chitkul/Sangla)
Day 3 (30/08) - Chitkul/Sangla - Kalpa (overnight stay)
Day 4 (31/08) - Kalpa - Tabo (overnight stay)
Day 5 (01/09) - Tabo - Mud - Kaza (doable?) (overnight stay Mud/Kaza)
Day 6 (02/09) - Mud/Kaza (overnight Kaza)
Day 7 (03/09) - Kaza (overnight Kaza)
Day 8 (04/09) - Kaza - Chandratal - Batal (overnight at Batal, any options?)
Day 9 (05/09) - Batal - Naggar (overnight Naggar)
Day 10 (06/09) - Naggar - Chandigarh (evening train to Delhi)
Day 11 (07/09) - Reserve
Day 12 (08/09) - Reserve

For the commute I have booked a Taxi (Scorpio) which will pick us from Chandigarh and drop us at Chandigarh and price for 10 days trip all inclusive is 40K. Kindly suggest if this seems to be an appropriate pricing or shall i look for some more better options (any leads for Taxi/drivers will be much appreciated)

Looking forward to improve this plan basis the inputs from people with first hand experience and expertise of the region :)

Your plan seems fine, though instead of Narkanda you might want to travel to Sarahan instead.

Also instead of Batal, stay at Losar, it has better accommodation facilities.

Thanks @Yogesh Sarkar for your inputs I'll make the required changes in the itinerary
Just a few more things on which if you can assist me please -
1. Any hotels or home stay option if you can recommend ? If there's a list of these please share the link.
2. How're the current road conditions? We've hired a Scorpio will that be good enough?
3. If there is a list of things to carry or do's and don'ts for Spiti circuit please share that link with me

Thanks

Hi Max,
I am planning to do Kinnaur from Chandigarh as well. Any tips from your experience? And how was the taxi that you hired? Recommeded him?

Thanks.
