If you’re reaching Ambala at 8 am, then unloading the bike and getting ready for the ride will take 3-4 hours. So you will really have half a day on that day.

Here is what you can do:

Day 1: Ambala to Kurfi/Theog/Narkanda, try and book accommodation in advance if possible.

Day 2: Kurfi/Theog/Narkanda to Reckong Peo/Kalpa, long day so start early in the morning. Book accommodation at advance in Kalpa, Rakpa Regency is a good option.

Day 3: Kalpa to Tabo, en route you can visit Nako Lake and Gompa, Gue Monastery and Tabo Monastery. Tank up and carry a little spare fuel if need be, next fuel pump is at Kaza and at times it runs out of fuel.

Day 4: Tabo to Kaza, en route visit Dhankar Monastery, Pin Valley (Kaurik Monastery and Mud Village), Komic, Hikkim and Langza else do Hikkim etc. next day.

Day 5: Kaza to Losar, en route visit Kee Monastery, Kibber, Gette and Tashigang.

Day 6: Losar to Sissu, en route take detour to Chandertal.

Day 7: Sissu to Killar, en route you can visit Triloknath Temple.

    Day 8: Killar to Bairagarh/Bhanjraru

    Day 9: Bairagarh/Bhanjraru to Dalhousie

    Day 10: Dalhousie to Ambala

All these days will require you to start early in the morning, so make sure to do that.

You will reach Sach Pass on day 8.

Dalhousie to Ambala is easily doable. Most of it is in plains.

HI Moin. I am also planning to do a Delhi- Spiti- Delhi trip starting June 21 or June 22. I had two other friends who were to join me but it seems they had a cancel for some reason. I have my own bike. I am looking for people who I can join or who can join me for the trip. Let me know if it seems fine for you. Maybe we can have a chat about it then.
