Hi All,
On my recent trip to Leh, i ended up at Kargil for three nights and stayed at J&K tourism dakbungalow (near hospital).
Also this place has reserved parking and okish garden.
It has three kinds of room options:
1) for Rs 180 which is on the ground floor(basic room with wall to wall carpet and sofa). Nice clean option to stay.
2) for Rs 200 on the first floor and much better than 180rs room though not much different in size.
3) for Rs 300 which is again on the first floor and the best among the three. Good wall to wall carpeting and an additional room for separate sitting space.
Finally, the catch. They also have one separate room and call it a VIP room usually not given to normal tourist. Its a five room suite for 400 Rs. On the first night we stayed in the Rs 200 room and finally managed to stay at the VIP suite for next two days as no one was occupying it.
Here are few pics of the VIP suit. Trust me it was a steel for Rs 400.
