We also went to lower JKTDC, and it was closed. Upper JKTDC was open, and we stayed in the 300 wallah room.

I was stayed in lower JKTDC (backside of busstand) due to upper JKTDC was full .. and i think lower JKTDC rooms are also good interior with backside river view and near to main market of kargil on priceof 200 bucks.

exact location if we are coming from leh and going to drass take right turn crossed the bridge there it was i think but is this bunglow not much far from bus stand or taxi stand as i remember whan i am coming from leh i took left turn and its all bazaar i am searching for restaurent to eat ,havent see any bus stand at all than i turn back.some one plz clear the locations of bus stand.

ys, absolutely no issue with the accommodation and parking. Only small concern is the food as this need to be informed to them in advance as they make meals only as per order. However, tea and coffee are no issue if required even at night. Meal option can also be taken care of as most of the restaurants are within 2 min walk.

Last year in June 2011,I along with my family stayed at Kargil bungalaw located at upper part of the city.We were having lunch at Drass when I saw Tourist Info Centre there.I approached the staff and requested them to arrange a room at Kargil.A very helpful young man named Salim personally made a call to Asst Director at Kargil and secured a room at Kargil bungalow.Some casually taken pics.
