Checked with them and also with J& K tourism office at Hotel Janpat, but they do booking for jammu and Srinagar region only. Booking for guest house in Zanskar region can be done from tourist reception center Kargil Ph no - 01985 - 232721/232328. and Booking for guest house in Leh region can be done from tourist reception center Leh Ph no - 01982-252297/252094.

Please tell me whether it is wise to visit Ladakh during the month of October, 2010 (probably 3rd week). Is it possible to go by Manali-Leh by road. Please reply me asap.

Do we need to book accomodation in Rangdum and Padum in advance?
I was expecting, booking on arrival until I read this thread.
BTW am not carrying any tent.

Mr. Sarkar, I have checked up with the JKTDC, Delhi number today. They said that they have guest house only in Leh. Can you please provide me the present position there. We propose to visit Zanskar during the 1st week of October. 2017.

As mentioned in the above post by @arunab, you have to book JKTDC huts in Suru or Zanskar through Kargil Tourist Office and I doubt they will take booking this early in the season.
